Registration of workers in unorganized sector at Wokha

WOKHA, April 27 (MExN): Commemorating the International Labour Day, Wokha District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with Assistant Labour Commissioner will conduct a mini-camp for registration of workers in unorganized sector under the Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers scheme at LTC hall Wokha on May 1.  

Registration will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. For assistance, one may contact front office desk of WDLSA during office hours.  

Those workers who are engaged in building and other construction works (Eg. Mason, Plumber, carpenters, electricians, painters) are eligible to become a beneficiary under this scheme. All construction workers who have completed 18 years of age but have not completed 59 years of age are eligible to registration.  

The requirements for registration are copy of 1st page bank account pass book linked with Aadhar (personal account), copy of birth certificate (for migrants workers proof of age certificate will be allowed on if it is from the place of origin), copy of Aadhar card, 2 passport photo and certificate of proof that the applicant is actually a construction worker.  

A registration fee of Rs. 25 is to be paid during the time of registration while, Rs. 300 is to be contributed as premium (annually) every registered beneficiary should renew the premium every year.
