Pungro, March 2 (MExN): A regular weekly market in Pungro town will begin from March 4 to help and promote farmers, local entrepreneurs, SHGs etc and also to provide agri-linkage and marketing prospects to other markets and towns. The weekly market will also provide easy access for public to local produce and other basic commodities.
Venue will be at the marketing shed adjacent to the public ground gallery near the badminton stadium. Timing will be from 6:00 am to 12 noon. The executive committee with EAC Pungro as convenor will be incapable of organising and monitoring the weekly market. Therefore, the general public, village councils/town wards/NGOs and organisation are invited and encouraged to participate in the weekly market.
All interested persons or parties may bring their products or wares and sell at the weekly market for a nominal fee of Rs.10 which will be charged by the executive committee from every participant for post clean up of the market area.
