Rejoinder to ANTA Kohima Unit

Kohima, January 25 (MExN): With the introduction of the pre-paid taxi service in Kohima, the debate between the ANTA units are seen growing bitter expressing displeasures from some sections of people from Kohima.
A press statement received here by Neivilhoutuo John Sechü stated that the taxi pre-paid service, which was recently introduced by the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Kohima Unit, seems to be harassing to the taxi drivers by forcibly imposing another additional of Rs. 20 by opening booth booking system.
He alleged that taxis are paying around Rs. 110 as taxes to various union, organization and Association, where apart from line fee of Rs. 10 by ANTA Kohima Unit are charging another Rs.20 by which a taxi is paying Rs. 30 to ANTA Kohima Unit.
He opined that ANTA Kohima unit should also have to look into the welfare of the taxi drivers not only to impose or extort them and said “I am doubt if ANTA Dimapur unit will come out with the same idea then the taxes for the taxi would be around Rs. 200”.
John Sechü also denounced the ANTA officials Kohima unit for imposing fines unnecessarily to those people plying private cars as taxi, “The ANTA Kohima Unit should be ashamed of when they themselves ply their private cars and are imposing fine or others when they ply as taxi”, added John
