DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organisation (NNagaDAO) and the Nagaland Targeted Intervention Employees Forum (NTIEF) today expressed resentment at the non release of funds for the last fiscal year 2015-16. A press statement from the NNagaDAO informed that the two organizations may start agitation from November unless the NACO and NSACS “expedite all possible action to ensure the release of the pending funding at the earliest, on or before October 31.” It reminded that the NTIEF started their agitation against non-release of their salaries (December to March 2016). However the NNagaDAO executives intervened and had a meeting with the Nagaland TI Employees Forum on August 11 in Kohima, appealing that time be given to NACO and NSACS till October 31. A delegation of NNagaDAO also visited NACO office in New Delhi and shared its concerns regarding the financial backlog/non release of fund from December 2015 till March 2016 for the Targeted Intervention Project of Nagaland. Thereafter, several representations and reminders were given to both NACO and NSACS. However, till date, the situation remains the same, it lamented.
