Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) organised Rengma Frontal Organizations Fellowship 2024 at Mission Center Zunpha Conference Hall, Tseminyu on June 29.
38 leaders attended the fellowship representing the various Rengma Frontal Organizations such as Rengma Hoho, Rengma Mothers Association, Rengma Village Council Chairman Forum, Rengma Officer’s Forum, Rengma Selo Zi and Rengma Students Union.
Rev Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary of CRBC led the innovation and delivered welcome address.
Dr Joshua Lorin, Principal of Oriental Theological College was the speaker and spoke on the meaning of leadership as the ability to influence the lives of people and make positive change leading to social transformation. He also facilitated the session on self-assessment and identification of key issues and priorities confronting the society.
The President of all the frontal organizations shared their organization’s vision, programs and prayer concerns, the house collectively prayed for their leadership.
The leaders of Rengma Frontal Organizations (RFO) jointly held a pledge at this gathering to commit themselves to become true leadership under the theme, ‘Impactful leadership’. They pledged to “be leaders who shall stand for truth and draw our strength from our honest relationship with God,” “be leaders who would influence people and change their lives for social transformation,” and “be leaders who would identify and prioritize the key issues/challenges confronting our society and develop plan in our annual calendars of events for implementation.”
