Dimapur, September 8 (MExN): The Rengma community has formally appealed to the Minister of Higher Education & Tourism, Nagaland, for the reinstatement of Dr. A. Nshoga Rengma to his former position as Director of the Higher Education Department.
In a letter addressed to Minister Temjen Imna Along, the Rengma Hoho expressed deep concern over Dr. Rengma's recent reassignment from Director to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) within the same department. The community emphasized that Dr. Rengma, a committed and qualified officer, was abruptly removed from his director position despite his suitability and previous promotion.
On August 31, representatives from the Rengma Hoho, including President Er. Tesinlo Semy and General Secretary Shatilo Kent, met with Minister Along at his official residence. During the meeting, Minister Along assured the delegation that Dr. Rengma would be reinstated to his previous role.
The Rengma Hoho is now calling for the immediate and formal reinstatement of Dr. Rengma, in alignment with the assurances given by Minister Along.
