Rengma Hoho calls for integrity and fairness in ULBs elections

Tseminyu, May 13 (MExN): The Rengma Hoho (RH) today appealed to all citizens of Tseminyu town to uphold the principles of integrity and fairness in the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections.

In this connection, it urged people to transcend narrow divisions such as clanism, groupism, and regionalism, and instead, elect individuals who are capable, honest, and righteous for the progress and upliftment of society.

In a press release issued by its President, Er Tesinlo Semy, and General Secretary Shatilo Kent, the RH also ‘implored’ every candidate to participate in free and fair elections, refraining from any form of malpractice, booth capturing, or violence that may disrupt the voting process.

“Let us strive to create a conducive environment for peaceful voting, ensuring that the casting of votes proceeds without any untoward incidents,” it added.

Furthermore, the RH called upon all colonies, the general public, ward GBs, and leaders to ensure that their respective colonies/wards experience peaceful polls.

It urged setting a positive example and contributing to the overall welfare of our community and passing on the legacy to our future generations, further calling for joining hands to make Tseminyu a model of progressive development and peace. “Together, we can achieve this goal,” it added.
