Six women entrepreneurs were felicitated by the Rengma Women Civil Societies during the International Women’s day.
Tseminyu, March 8 (MExN): The Rengma Women Civil Societies celebrated International Women’s day on March 8 at Riga Thong Memorial Hall under the theme ‘Invest In Women: Accelerate Progress.’
The programme was initiated under the collaboration of Rengma Hoho Women Representatives, Rengma Mothers’ Association and Women Club, stated a press release.
The programme witnessed the acknowledgement and felicitation of six women entrepreneurs for demonstrating outstanding dedication and resilience in the realm of entrepreneurship.
Kesogi Khing, GS Women Club, hosted the programme and Logvule Kent, Women Representatives, Rengma encouraged the women community to participate and contribute in whatever way they can for the upliftment and welfare of the community.
Rengma Mothers’ Association, President Sojule Tep urged the women to challenge the stereotypes that limit women opportunities and break down barriers that prevent women from reaching their full potential. She further emphasised that we must create environment where all women are openly embraced.
The programme was attended by various SHGs, Entrepreneurs, church workers and Women Civil Societies.
