Repair of road between Asukhomi and Zunheboto town underway

Zunheboto, October 13 (MExN): In a major relief for the citizens of Zunheboto district, Ghovishe Kiba, State Executive member, BJP Nagaland and Class-I Contractor has funded the repairing and maintenance of the 11 Km stretch of road between Asukhomi and Zunheboto town on October 11.

NH 702A which connects Zunheboto district to Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mariani and Jorhat is considered as one of the major lifeline of Zunheboto district since all the essential commodities are transported through this route, however, the maintenance of National Highway had been neglected for long despite of issue being raised relentlessly by the public.

Due to major potholes and no proper drainage all the commercial and private vehicles were rendered unfeasible to ply, wherein, the general public are beset with setbacks in many aspects, stated a press release issued by Akavi Sema, President, BJP 35 A/C Zunheboto Mandal.

In this connection, to meet the urgent basic needs of general public, Ghovishe Kiba, a two term Ex- Town Council Member, Zunheboto town funded the financing and including his two dumber truck, two JCBs, one motor grader and other machineries for immediate repaired and renovation of NH 702 A public roads. 

The road maintenance is underway and is expected to be completed within a month. The 35 A/C Zunheboto Mandal has appealed all the neighbouring villages to co-operate for speedy completion during the construction of road maintenance.
