Kohima, July 22 (MExN): The Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayats (AKMWP) on July 18 has urged the concerned authority to take up restoration and repair the approach road of Kohima Municipal Council(KMC) dumping site within two weeks.

In a representation to the Commissioner & secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Nagaland, the Association highlighted that the approach road of the KMC dumping site is in a “very deplorable condition causing severe damages to the sanitation Vehicles.”

The menial sanitation fees collected from the residents are being exhausted in repairing the sanitation vehicles which affects the maintenance of the drivers and labours, it added, calling for restoration of the road within the two-week period.

“If no action is initiated, the AKMWP has decided to return back all the sanitation vehicles provided to the Wards/Colonies,” it added.
