MANGKOLEMBA, JULY 7 (MExN): After waiting ‘patiently’ for 9 months, the Mangkolemba Ao Lanur Telongjem (MALT) has served an ultimatum to the Chief Engineer, PHED to replace the incumbent SDO, PHED Mangkolemba by a ‘responsible and sincere’ officer on or before July 31.
The MALT will initiate appropriate actions to release its objective if the PHED department does not respond with any positive action by then, the Union said in a press note.
The MALT, on August 24 last year, had also served an ultimatum to the Chief Engineer, PHED, Nagaland to replace the concern SDO latest by 30 September 2016 “for his failure to attend office and irresponsible and lackadaisical attitude toward duty at Mangkolemba.”
“The concerned Head of the Department (HOD) failed to heed to our reasonable demand and continued with retention of Tinu Longchar as SDO, PHED at Mangkolemba till today,” MALT informed.
His continuous absence from duty, the MALT said, has given rise to many grievances in the smooth functioning of the department at Mangkolemba and the sub division.
In this regard, MALT informed the Chief Engineer, PHED to replace the SDO by a responsible and sincere officer on or before July 31 “failing which the MALT will initiate appropriate actions to release its objective.”
