In the recently published advertisement by NPSC, for filling out of vacancies in the Nagaland government, through Combined Technical Services Examination 2016, and Common Educational Services Examination 2016, some of the vacancies are exclusively reserved for certain backward tribes. Some of which are: 1. Corrigendum/Notification No. NPSC/ADVT-1/04 dt. 26.10.2016: I.
1 (One) post of SDO (Class-I Gazetted) Item No. 3 (a) under Irrigation and Flood Control Department is reserved for B.T. Sangtam. II. 1 (one) post of Asstt. Mechanical Engineer (AME) (Class–I Gazetted) Item No. 6 under Works & Housing Department is reserved for B.T. Yimchunger. III. 1 (one) post of Dy.SP (NPTO) (Class-I Gazetted) Item No.10 under Home Department is reserved for B.T. Sangtam. 2. Corrigendum No. NPSC/ADVT/EDS-2012 dt. 26.10.2016 1 (one) post of PGT- Economics at Item No-30 under School Education, Department is reserved for BT.Chang. Will the NPSC justify or explain under what circumstance or legal ruling these single vacancy positions are 100% reserved for a particular tribe? Shouldn't reservation be only done in case of more than one vacancy in the same post? This is grave injustice to the eligible candidates from "forward" tribes and other backward tribes as well.
