Phek, December 1 (MExN): Resident Representative of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) India, Isabelle Tschan visited Phek District Hospital and interacted with Dr Avilie Zao, Medical Superintendent and staff.

UNDP and the Government of Japan had donated two oxygen generation plants to Nagaland, one each at Phek and Tuensang which was inaugurated by Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio on June 22, 2021, stated a press release received here. 

Isabelle Tschan is visiting Nagaland as a state guest during the launching of Hornbill Festival 2023. She is accompanied by the UNDP team - Meenakshi Kathel, Chief Advisor UNDP, Jaimon C Uthup, Policy Specialist, John Borgoyary, Regional Head Northeast, Kingson Kamkara - HSS, Senior Project Officer, Nagaland and Manipur.

Isabelle also interacted with Dr Pewezo Khalo, District Programme Officer (UIP/RCH) and immunization staff with regard to cold chain & vaccine management and use of eVIN and U-WIN in their daily vaccination sessions.
