Wokha, September 28 (MExN): Under the flagship programme of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), the District Mission Authority Wokha has launched residential hostel for the underprivileged children for the age group of 6- 14 years.
A press release stated that Wepoze Kenye, Deputy Commissioner and Mhao Humtsoe, Chairman, Lotha Hoho graced the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively on September 27.
N. Pichamo Jungio, Project Assistant and in-charge for residential hostel chaired the function, while DDEO said the welcome and keynote address. ADC (SSA) P. Zubenthung Humtsoe gave the introduction of the school student and four staffs appointed in the residential hostel.
Abemo Jungio Associate Pastor WTBC invoked blessing upon the students and employees of residential hostel while Khonbemo P. Kikon, Associate Pastor said the invocation prayer. Special song, reciprocal and Bible recitation were presented by the students of GMS Wokha Town ‘B’ and ‘C’ respectively. Chonpenthung Odyuo, SDEO Wokha pronounced the vote of thanks.
