Dimapur, March 15 (MExN): The residents of Arkong Ward of Mokokchung town, who resides either sides of the road along the Ongpangkong Salang and Genesis Junction have repaired the road through their own contributions.
The MCCI in a press note issued by its general secretary Bendang Walling and secretary information & publicity M.R.Rai stated: “The road condition of any locality reflects the amount of effort put in by the government for the development of the locality as well as it shows the sincerity of the people’s representative from the locality to the government in a democratic country like ours.” The note also stated that to put these facts into testing, one should take the brand new vehicle and visit different wards in and around Mokokchung town. Definitely, second time ride will be avoided by that person for obvious reason.
“Tired of drawing attention of the concerned authorities and perhaps their elected representative, people of Arkong Ward especially those who are residing either sides of the road along the Ongpangkong Salang and Genesis Junction have done a laudable job of repairing the road through their own contributions. People from the locality are perfect civilized denizens of the town who have accomplished an exemplary work to open the tightly shut eyes of the concerned authorities. Well done folks,” the note said.
