Kohima, January 2 (MExN): The 53rd Annual Session of the Kidima Students' Union (KSU) was held on December 29 and 30 at Kidima Village Council Hall with Director of School Education, Government of Nagaland, Senthang Rengma as chief guest.
The chief guest congratulated the villagers for their hard work, unity and sincerity that made the village popular. Stating that “Hard work has no substitute,” Rengma exhorted the gathering to be competitive.
“Respect and obedience are the core of life. Without this moral principle there is no scope for the future,” he stated and urged people to put everything before God.
Guest Speaker on the occasion, Additional Director of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Dr Yore, advised the gathering to get trained for personality development while young. “Discipline and punctuality are the essence of life,” Dr Yore added.
Keviwenu Alphonsa Ltu daughter of Vimetsil Ltu from Little Flower Higher Secondary School Kohima with 99.5%, Keneisano Kiso daughter of Videkhol Kiso from Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima with 98.14%, Vivoto Pucho son Dr Kedise Pucho from Vineyard School, Kohima with 97%, Vinole Kiso daughter Kroyieho Kiso from St Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Chumukedima were the best performers of the current academic year.
Completions like quiz, solo cultural group song, extempore, debate, fancy dress and talent show were also held. Government officials from different departments, academicians, representing Southern Angami Students’ Union and various other organizations, Vipopal Kintso former Chairman of Kohima Municipal Council and Naga Students’ Federation and parents attended the programme.
