
Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Claiming that it is trying to “maintaining peace” and looking to solve the Indo-Naga conflict “through peaceful means” the FGN has asked the Manipur underground groups to “respect our policy of non-violence.”
Urging that “our policy” of “non-violence” and peace be respected, the FGN through its dy. rali-wali kilonser Gaibon Panmei asked the underground groups in Manipur not to carry out any violent activities in the Zeliangrong region or in other Naga areas. The FGN cited a recent incident stated to have taken place at Khonglong village, Zeliangrong region. While the details were not mentioned in the note, the FGN reminded the “revolutionary groups in the present Manipur state” that such untoward incidents should not be repeated in the near future. “We believe that there is no human problem which cannot be solved through peaceful means and that we want to keep peaceful atmosphere in Naga country” it stated
