KOHIMA, MARCH 6 (MExN): The restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles above 10 wheels along National Highway-29 has been lifted with immediate effect. According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on March 6, the decision was taken in reference to a letter from the office of the Executive Director, NHIDCL dated February 2, 2026 regarding the traffic-worthy condition of National Highway-29. The order stated that the restrictions previously imposed on the movement of heavy vehicles above 10 (ten) wheels “is hereby lifted with immediate effect till further notice.”
