Rev Dr Mar Pongener is new NBCC Gen Secy

A new leadership team for the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) was installed today, with Rev Dr Mar Pongener appointed as the new General Secretary and Rev Achu Chang as the new President, among other key appointments.

Katoli V Achumi also replaced Visasieii Dolie as the new Women Secretary while Rev  Izeteilung Terieng is the State chaplain.

The installation ceremony took place at Yesisotha village in the newly created district of Meluri, during the 88th annual council programme of NBCC.  The Pochury Baptist Church Council hosted the event.

The speakers for the annual council, held from January 30 to February 2, included outgoing General Secretary Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, outgoing President Rev Dr Pongener, outgoing Women’s Secretary Dolie, and NCF Chennai Pastor Wapangtoshi.
