Rev Moa Longchari Cancer Foundation (RMLCF) Aid Centre was dedicated here by Rev Dr Tseibu Rutsa, who is also the vice president of RMLCF at Peracizie Colony, High School road on August 12.

With this, RMLCF Aid Centre will now function as the contact office cum an outlet to raise funds for the foundation.

All the proceeds will go towards funding the treatment of cancer patients.

It may be recalled that RMLCF was launched on October 26, 2019, which was dedicated by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), General Secretary, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho.

It was launched in memory of Lt Rev Moa Longchari to honour his testimony in God’s service and service towards humanity.

“He (Rev Moa Longchari) had experienced a critical need to reach those suffering from similar medical conditions as his: only they lacked the emotional and financial support which he was blessed to have received in abundance. Our underlying mission is to minimize the battles lost unfought, we stand to ensure that cancer patients are provided with the medical attention required but not necessarily attained. Rev Moa has influenced the life of every individual known to him and remains the core essence of our foundation: change a moment, change a life,” a leaflet received here stated.

The mission of RMLCF is to reduce cancer mortality rate across Nagaland through awareness, prevention and early-detection, to provide counselling for patients through their recovery and encourage them to live a full-life during and after their treatment, to raise funds across communities and to collaborate with oncologists, hospitals and volunteers to maximize the effectiveness of spreading awareness and treatment for patients.

The vision is to provide the best possible treatment for reducing the cancer mortality rate in Nagaland by providing medical financial assistance and counselling for the underprivileged and medically underserved communities.
