Revenant FC wins first ever Mokokchung Friday League

The first season of the Mokokchung Friday League concluded on Friday at Imkongmeren Sports Complex with Revenant FC winning the first ever Mokokchung Friday League (MFL).

Revenant FC beat Senso FC by two points in the league table. After the end of game week 10, Revenant FC were at 23 points while Senso SC were at 21 points. Revenant FC played their last match against REM which ended in a goalless draw.

A brief closing ceremony was held were Col. Viplove, CO, 23 Assam Rifles was the special guest. Individual prizes were also given away at the closing ceremony where Tiasunep from Terokroker FC bagged the Best Goal keeper award while Chubangangnen from Revenant FC bagged the Highest Goal scorer award with 13 goals. The player of the League was awarded to Rongsenchiba of Revenant FC.

The first season of the Mokokchung Friday League saw six clubs eying for the champion title. MFL began on May 6 as a football league for unprofessional football players who are above 35 years of age and organized by like-minded people who have keen interest in football.
