DIMAPUR, MARCH 22 (MExN): The Reverse Osmosis (RO) Association along with the Action Committee held its annual meeting on March 18 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur and re-affirmed certain points to be strictly follow by both the sellers and retailers.
The meeting resolved that the wholesale rate for 20 liter jar water shall remain Rs 30 per jar and the retail price would be Rs 50. All the plant owners have been informed to submit their latest water testing reports from the competent authority along with NOC from the concerned colony councils and trade license from the issuing authorities on or before March 30.
It added that failing which the association will not be held any responsible against the ignorant plant owners. It was also resolved in the meeting that, henceforth, the action committee would be dispatched to check on water qualities and those selling water can below and above the rate determined by the association on a daily basis.
Defaulters detected would be immediately terminated from the association and stern action shall be initiated with the help of the concerned department, a press release from the association’s President, H Hukuto Khulu and Secretary, A Polongnok said.
