Review meeting highlights needs of health centres in Peren

Peren, March 9 (MExN): Health workers in Peren district have highlighted that Jalukie CHC (Community Health Centre) and Azailong PHC (Primary Health Centre) are in urgent need of generator and inverter respectively.  

This was brought out during the monthly district review meeting cum official launching of LLIN (Long Lasting Insecticidal Net) conducted by Chief Medical Officer’s office of Peren on March 8 at its conference hall here.

  During the meeting, CMO Peren, Dr. Ngangshimeren, highlighted last month’s health workers’ performance and applauded those health workers who have been working sincerely in their field.

  Dr. Tiala Longkumer, Dy. CMO, urged the health workers to cross check their reports. She gave a review of performance and reports of Health Units –April 2015- Dec 2015 (HMIS). She also stressed that register/records should be strictly and timely updated. She further requested the Medical Officers to cross check the reports before submitting and also to sign it.  

Thereafter, LLIN for Peren block was officially launched by Dr. Limatula, DVBO (NVBDCP). She mentioned that LLIN distribution in the district started with Athibung and Jalukie Block concentrating on malaria prone areas. She also stated that in Tening Block, LLIN has been distributed only to the Jhum cultivators since it’s not malaria endemic area. Dr. Ngangshimeren, CMO handed over the LLIN to the first beneficiary, ASHA coordinator, Peren block.  

Earlier, the meeting was attended by District Programme Officers, Medical Officers, Nurses, Pharmacist, District and Block Program Management Unit Staff NHM.
