Review meeting on vulnerability mapping and diseases profiling

  Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Vulnerability Mapping and Diseases Profiling survey is being carried in the urban areas under Dimapur since October 16, 2018.   Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur in a press release stated that a review meeting was held on November 15 to assess the progress of the survey. During the meeting, it was learnt that, through the survey, vulnerable localities where medical services are in need have been identified. The National Urban Health Mission Team under the Dept. of Health & Family Welfare Dimapur, therefore, will be conducting health camps in these localities to provide health services and to screen for various diseases.   For the smooth conduct of the survey, Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur request the public and the Community Leaders of all the wards to lend their support and co-operation to the survey team. The survey is being carried out by the IEC Bureau, Department of H&FW Nagaland led by Subongbenla, Deputy Director, IEC Bureau, Nagaland, Kohima.   According to Dr. Puse Liegise, Nodal Officer, NUHM, “Vulnerability Mapping and Diseases Profiling is carried out to assess the health status of the people and to develop a database which will be used for identifying health issues for implementing various health-related policies and activities in the future.”
