It is disheartened that the SPF in Dimapur had picked up the RNPC general secretary, Solomon Rengma like a criminal from his residence in the midnight. The district administration and security forces are aware that the KPLT and other Karbi militants and their linkmen are staying and moving around in Dimapur in total freedom. But they are not properly aware about the danger of the presence of the karbi militants poses for the civilians. Their past record is alarming for the fact that they targeted non – Karbi communities as much as possible anywhere they liked anticipating the objectives of Karbis only. Unlike Naga insurgent groups Karbi undergrounds including KPLT are premature and unpredictable in nature. Various Naga tribes have adapted themselves to live together as brothers and if any difference arises are sorted out by trust worthy hohos, churches and NGOs in democratic ways simultaneously with non Naga communities too and even the Naga undergrounds maintain maximum restraint. But this sort of social adaptation are absent among the Karbis for which their motives for destruction of other ethnic communities are always dubious. So does any of the Karbi undergrounds. Therefore, harassing the RNPC leadership would be unnecessary.
The JACAS chief advisor and KAPF leader, J.I. Kathar accused the involvement of the third force in the carnage and ethnic cleansing of Rengma Nagas in Rengma Hills, Karbi Anglong district of Assam. But, what or which is the third force? If there is any third force involved then there must be first force and second force too and which are they? Did the KPLT act on the direction of some individuals or organizations the so called the third force? Is the government of Assam referred to as the third force? Only the killer the KPLT or the planner the JACAS know which is the third force? The assertion of J.I. Kathar that the Assam government wanted to kill all the Karbis and after which it would finish other tribes” was a prediction happened in the form of ethnic cleansing last December and must not be taken lightly. His press statement indicates that he was aware of what KPLT was about to commit. He is misleading his people towards the undemocratic and wrong direction of reign of terror and turmoil in the district in pursuance of Karbi statehood totally undermining other communities living here prior to their advent to the Rengma Hills. If there is any third force involved behind the sudden attack on the Rengma villages last December it could be no other organization other than JACAS and KAAC judging by its boldness and confidence in attacking and declaring war against a community. More over there is a logic as to why should KPLT be used by the Assam government as accused for the purpose when it is deadly against the creation of new state. KPLT acted on common consensus for the fact that no karbi social organization raised voice when the economic blockade imposed and ultimatum served by the KPLT against the Rengma villages prior to the attack by it but waited to get the job done and initiated peace proposal as soon as preplanned mission was executed by their militants.
The statements of Bidysing Teron, president, Karbi students association (KSA) referring to the recent carnage and ethnic cleansing in Rengma Hills, Karbi Anglong district,” Problems of this nature will continue till Karbvi Anglong attained statehood”. Is a threat and a sort of warning to all the non karbi communities. His statement is crystal clear that the pattern of action plan would be again executed. Anything may happen to nonkarbis any time anywhere. And accusation may be put to any agency for the act as part of their strategy and game plan. The Karbis are demanding karbi state for Karbis of east Khasi Hills, Arunachal Pradesh and other district of Assam to be placed at Rengma Hills. And if ever they achieve the same they will be far more powerful and will influx their people into Rengma Hills in multiples of lakhs from other states and districts which will bring the ever darkest time to the non karbi communities living here. Therefore, various non Karbi organizations must not remain silent spectators but raise voice against all kinds injustice being committed against them.
