Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) will be conducting a Rifle & Pistol Shooting Training Camp at the Aries Shooting Range, S. Sorhie’s Complex, Above Lerie SBI, Mohonkhola, Kohima jointly with the Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy, Dimapur, from May 3 to 6. The training camp will be followed by the 1st DS Championship 2017 in Kohima which will be held as per the rules and regulations of the National Rifle Association of India Match Book 2016.
A press release from the association Secretary Sentiyanger informed that the training and championship will be conducted by L. Tomba Shooting Coach, Sports Authority of India, North East Regional Centre, Imphal and K. Tijen Sharma, National Shooter. Merang Jamir, ISSF Judge, will be the Jury during the Competitions.
The training will be followed by the 8th Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship 2017, and the 3rd Nagaland Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship 2017 at the Aries Sports Complex, Bamunpukhuri-1, Dimapur. Selected shooters will represent Nagaland at the 5th North East Zone Shooting Championships 2017 which will be held at Shillong, Meghalaya from July 10, the release informed.
