The Speech Of Z. Royam Yimchungrii The Acting President Of Naga National Council On The Occasion Of The Naga Republic Day On 22nd March 2014.
Dear Naga people,
I stand here on behalf of the Naga National Council to greet and salute all the Naga people in the homeland and abroad on this occasion of the Naga Republic Day of 22nd March 2014 as we observe and celebrate this auspicious Day with prayer to God Almighty.
The Naga people had declared Naga Republic fifty eight years ago on this Day of the Lord as National Government with a framed Naga Constitution in the name of God Almighty that we were and are a Nation. And we maintain this political stand till date.
The Naga National Council reiterate our stand once again that we spent for Naga Sovereignty covering all the Naga inhabitat areas of South-East Asian Region for recognition of political rights of the Nagas by India and Bruma (Myanmar) in particular and the community of nations in the world.
The Naga National principle stand of sovereignty must be defended at any cost by the National Workers instead of compromising by the vested interest factions or groups because this is the will of God Almighty and we cannot compromise the sovereign rights of the Naga people in general and the National Workers in particular.
The Naga National Council have a clear political rights and mandate of the Naga people through the National Plebiscite of 1951 and also maintained the best policy of Non-Violence stand which is supported by one and all especially the outside world. The Naga National Council have a big avenue in the International arena for political support only if we have the necessary resources to lobby and work to achieve our goal of political freedom.
The Naga people must also know that the Naga National Council have the best record as far as internal conflict and prevailing vices in the homeland is concerned by the grace of God Almighty.
Therefore, Naga people must support the right and correct political stand which can convince the outside world for support at this juncture of confusion and crisis in the homeland.
Today, the Naga National Council reminded once again that the North-East people must unite in reality to liberate our people and land politically from the aggressor as we have seen enough that arrogant Indians will never, never respect nor care the North-East people as we are separate race of Mongolian stock and this is our pride.
The Naga National Council is closely watching the world situation of present day happenings as we seen in the very recent time that the North-East are not in the map of India by the Chinese media and the Russian Government voted and recognized Crimea as independent. The time is coming for North-East people and the Nagas in particular to see a political happening in the region. If India and Bruma do not move out from their occupation of Nagaland.
Lastly, but not the least the Naga National Council therefore remind the people that it is the right and correct politics will bring freedom of recognition to the people and land. Therefore, it is not arms, money and numbers of strength but the right political stand will achieve the goal of freedom. May the Naga people and the National Workers in particular realized this reality sooner then later.
