Thereafter, the MoS will be attending first-ever Nagaland cabinet meeting scheduled on November 9 in Kiphire. According to a source, the meeting will be held in 14th NAP (IR) Camp, Kiphire. The Government had earlier maintained that the scheduled meeting was a part of its “endeavor to take governance and administration to all the corners of the state.”
The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) also planned to hold similar meetings in different district head quarters in the near future. On Thursday, Rijiju also informed in a tweet that he has accepted an invitation by the Nagaland Chief Minister on October 30 to attend the meeting.
“I've accepted the invitation and looking forward to attend the State Cabinet Meeting,” he posted on his official Twitter handle. The MoS further lauded the “commendable gesture of the seasoned & visionary” Chief Minister adding: “Holding the Cabinet meeting in a remote Kiphire (Aspirational District) reflects Govt's intention.”
