Kohima, February 5 (MExN): Director School Education, Nipusilie Angami in a press release, issued general information that the next Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) entrance examination for admission to class VIII in the RIMC Dehradun (UK) for the January 2012 term will be conducted on June 1 and 2.
Only boys are eligible to apply for admission to the RIMC Dehradun where the candidates appearing for the above test should not be less than 11 ½ years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 1st January (i.e. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1999 and not later than 1st July 2000). Candidates should either be studying in class VII or passed class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC, i.e on 1st January 2012.
The written part of the examination will consist of three papers namely, English, Mathematics (on 1st June 2010), and general knowledge (on 2nd June 2010). The oral interview will be held for only those candidates who qualify in the written exam and the date of interview will be intimated to them be early September 2011. Intelligence and personality of the candidates will e tested in the oral interview.
Application forms and prospectus and old question papers can be obtained from the commandant RIMC, Dehradun (UK) on payment of Rs. 250 through demand draft in favor of Commandant RIMC DEHRADUN drawer Branch SBI Tel. Bhavan (Bank Code-01576), these will be dispatched by registered post or courier. Application in duplicate on prescribed forms accompanied by the bank Draft drawer at SBI Tel Bhavan (Bank Code-01576), Dehradun only will be excepted for Rs. 50 for general and Rs. 5 for SC/ST candidates in favor of commandant RIMC, Dehradun along with three passport size photographs of the candidate should reach the Director school education Kohima on or before 31st March 2011. Certificate of age (in duplicate) from the school record or municipal Board should be submitted. The applicant is informed that no change in the date of birth as originally given by them will not be entertained.
