Two local singers from Dimapur proved their excellence in the North East Wave Singing Super Star and Dancing Competition.
Two local singers from Dimapur proved their excellence in the North East Wave Singing Super Star and Dancing Competition, organized by Northeast Council, Ministry of DoNER by winning the state championship and also booking berths in the finals.
The finals are slated to be held in April.
Nikato Sumi and Prem Rawat were among many, who were selected in the audition rounds in Dimapur on January 12 last and joined all other 70 participants from the entire Northeast. On February 8, Nikato Sumi won the state Championship and bagged a cash prize of Rs 25000 while Prem Rawat was 1st Runners-up.
Both the singers had also performed in presence of Indian Idol winners during their visit to Dimapur recently. They have been practicing singing for the last 5 years.
