RNYO Northeast condemns killing of one

Assam, November 13 (MExN): The Rongmei Naga Youth Organization (RNYO) Northeast has condemned the brutal lynching of Chaginchuang Phaomei of Ramgaizang Village on November 3 by the public of Harinagar in presence of security police.   President RNYO Northeast, Gwangphun Gangmei, in a press release stated that the public of Harinagar under Joypur Police station, Cahcar Assam must have been void of a moral sense and compassion to commit such brutality to a fellow human being. The ‘underground group’ displayed their utter folly on the fateful day, stated the release. No sensible man can support such a group who goes about terrorizing the people in the good name of sacrificing and defending the land and the people.   The Organization further stated that nature will take its own course of retribution for every action in due time. No man can escape the reward of his or her action. It further stated that it “will exercise justice by probing into the matter with due process as per customary practices and laws. The guilty must be brought to justice by confession and forgiveness. The bereaved family must be comforted and compensated with what is humanly possible and as per customary practices.”   The guilty must be detected, denounced and penalized. No favor or bias will be needed, said the release and further directed the State Level Rongmei Youth organizations to take up befitting steps and measures to bring justice and secure peace back to the Rongmei society. “The Bereaved family, relatives and the village shall not be left alone comfortless and defend less in their predicament. Justice and peace shall be made and restored,” assured the release. The Rongmei people further expressed deep anguish over the death and conveyed solidarity, condolence and God’s abiding peace to the family, relatives and the village.
