Road restoration project at Khonoma inaugurated

Our Correspondent Khonoma | October 30   Rovilatuo Mor, secretary home and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) today inaugurated the road restoration project at Khonoma village which suffered cut-off due to recent monsoon related disaster.  

This vital restoration of connectivity structure has been constructed with financial grants from NSDMA and contribution from various NGOs and well wishers.  

This restoration work was mobilized by a peer group called Dolhuni Dzüvi-u Golato (DGG) and completed at the total cost of Rs. 30.44 lakh.  

L. Kenneth Punyii said the work took nearly three months. He thanked NSDMA for the extending financial assistance and also various groups and well wishers, adding that collective effort brought the task possible.  

Mor appreciated DDG for initiating the work out of necessity, and also each and every individuals for putting their best effort towards the completion of the work.  

Also appreciating the community participation in the developmental activities, the home secretary also called upon the people to continue to uphold the spirit of better understanding and oneness for all round development.  

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Megoneilhu Viyie while Kevikielie Pier proposed vote of thanks. PHED Retd chief engineer Er. Kevisekho Kruse and several other dignitaries also present on the occasion.
