Kohima, October 13 (MExN): The excitement for the 9th Edition of the Capt. (Late) N. Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous) Memorial Football Tournament saw increase with a vibrant Road Show held today in Kohima, marking the countdown to the prestigious event scheduled to commence from October 22.

Organized by the Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association, the road show showcased the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and remembrance of the gallant officer Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous)- a true son of Nagaland and a symbol of courage and inspiration for the youth.

The colourful rally featured participation from local football clubs, students, sports enthusiasts, and cultural troupes, creating a festive atmosphere in the city. Vehicles displayed flags, banners, and posters highlighting this year’s tournament theme “One State, One Game, One Goal”.

Capt. Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament, which has become one of the most awaited sporting events in Nagaland, continues to serve as a platform for young players to showcase their talent and promote peace, harmony, and brotherhood through sports.

The road show will continue tomorrow (October 14) at Chiephobozou, Tseminyu and Wokha.
