In one of the many instances, mini truck driver P Hatho and his companions took 4 days to reach Thonoknyu from Tuensang via Shamator due to bad road conditions. Normally, the road is a half-day journey distance. Their 4×4 mini truck was carrying essential commodities for a grocery store at Thonoknyu. As informed, they unloaded and reloaded the goods 5 times on the way to deal with the challenges of the road condition. They reached Thonoknyu on Saturday evening after setting off on Wednesday.
