Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): A driver of an auto rickshaw identified as Raju Chetri (30) was apprehended at Lake View Colony here by the colony members on June 20 around 1:00 pm. Raju was caught red handed trying to steal a tyre of another auto. The incident occurred near the colony water reservoir. The accused was caught trying to take out the tyre of the auto by the auto driver after which the residents were alerted. The colony council apprehended Raju Chetri and handed him over to the police. Illegal substances were also found in his possession- 5 capsules of spasmoproxyvon, 5 tablets of nitrosum, 2 strips of marijuana, and a quarter bottle of rum. Wrenches and an iron rod were also seized from him. FIR no. 012/16 has been lodged against him at West Police Station, Dimapur.
