‘Rocknock’: Meeting of the Change paradigms

Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): It is promised to be an event where the white-collared and the shredded-denims would mingle in the theme of change and entertainment. Rock musicians, social reformers and educationists will take the same stage as social commentators “to propagate healthy and ambition guided sense of living among the youth of Kohima.” The event “Rocknock” will be held March 30 at Kohima local ground from 12 noon.
The event will showcase influential resource speakers and some of the best musicians in the state, ‘who can inspire, encourage, educate and spread awareness on various issues that need to be redressed at this day and age,’ organizers of the event said in a circular.
Expecting every right thinking youth in the town, the organizers expressed hope that the youth of Kohima “can become ambassadors of healthy positive change in the society and that all hope is not lost.”
The speakers are social activist and commentator Niketu Iralu, educationist and church leader Pfheluophelie Kesiezie, media production manager Ate Kevichusa and church leader Shan Kikon. The performing musicians are former Music Safari and Hornbill Rock prizewinners Eximious, Hornbill Rock prizewinners Black Rose, Hornbill Rock prizewinners OFF (Original Fire Factor) and one of Nagaland’s 90s rock forerunners Grafitti.
The “media partners” are Nagaland Post, Eastern Mirror and The Morung Express.   
Tickets to the event are priced at Rs. 20 and are available at Dream Café, Ozone Café, Café, and Caffeine and at the venue as well.  The organizers have informed of prohibition on alcohol, tobacco and other illegal substance at the venue. The gates would be open by 10 am. Jetlagged Inc. Nagaland is managing the event.
