The Rongmei Baptist Church Kohima celebrated its golden jubilee under the theme “Triumph of Christ's gospel” at the church premises on February 22.
Administrative Assistant Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Rev Dingshungngamang Kamei in his Jubilee message noted that the commemoration of 50 years is a huge landmark. However, the work of the church should grow bigger in its mission to win more souls for the Lord," the speaker said while calling the people of the faith to rededicate one's faithfulness to the calling of the church. He also emphasized that worldly ailments could be cured but only God can cure us spiritually.
Earlier, the jubilee monolith was unveiled by Guithiuliu Gaiduwan Kamei. The programme was chaired by Pouthoi Gangmei vice Chairman celebration committee, invocation prayer said by Rev. Gaidon Kamei pastor RBCBC; welcome address delivered by Pastor Jenthailung Kamei chairman celebration committee.
Special song was also presented by women fellowship RBCK, Gaichanglungliu G. Kamei, Sunday school department and jubilee choir. The jubilee souvenir was released by executive secretary RBCAN Mathiuthai Gonmei, and special prayer said by executive director, Greater Life Mission. Rev HM Gongmei.
Later, in the evening extravaganza Pouhourei Gangmei pastor i/c RBF, Chümoukedima was the speaker.
