PEREN, FEBRUARY 29 (MExN): The general meeting cum-election of Rongmei Council Peren was held on February 26 at Chwang School Samziuram.
The first session of the programme started with the invocation by Gangthai Kamei under the Chairmanship of Tingsangai Pamai and Kalanchung Gonmei, the sessional secretary.
Ginbonlung the former President of the Rongmei Council Peren, appreciated the people for their cooperation and support in all activities undertaken during his tenure and also highlighted the progress and achievements under his leadership.
The House unanimously resolved certain resolutions to be executed by the new team of the Rongmei Council Peren.
The second session was election of office bearers for the tenure of five years, ie, 2020-2024, led by the election commission headed by Jangai Pamei, the election commissioner of Rongmei Council Peren.
The newly elected office bearers include Jangdiat Gonmei, President; Gonglin Pamei, Vice President; Namphurei Kamei, General Secretary; Dilung Gonmei, Joint Secretary; KC Silas, Treasurer; Gaihiak Riamei, Finance Secretary; Napsinrei Pamei, Cultural Secretary; and Simeonn Gonmei, Information Secretary.
