Rongmei De held at UTC, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, October 18 (MExN): The 3rd ‘Rongmei De!’ event was organized at United Theological College (UTC), Bengaluru by Rongmei Welfare Organization, Bengaluru (RWOB) under the theme ‘Where there is unity there is always victory’ on October 16.

The event was graced by Arshad Khan, PMOL for Shell IT as Chief Guest. The purpose of the event was celebrating the “God given identity,” and also to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritages of Rongmei tribe, a press release from RWOB stated. The event was marked and filled with cultural dances, songs, games, storytelling, Huai, traditional friction of fire, yesterday’s pop and contemporary genre, choreographies, crowning of Mister & Miss Rongmei De, lottery and many more. The event was attended by 480 Rongmei people residing in the city and neighboring cities.
