Dimapur, September 30 (MExN): Rotary Club of Dimapur and Rotaract club of Dimapur jointly constructed hand washing station and installed filtered drinking water dedicated to Government Middle School, Sematilla, Dimapur on September 29 under Rotary India Wash in school (WinS) programme.
In a press release by Rtn Dr. Nitin Agarwal President, Rotary Club of Dimapur, Rotaract President Akash Jain informed about the details of construction work. It started with invocation by Tohuli. Vihoshe, GB Sematilla appreciated the work and service rendered by Rotary and Rotaract Club of Dimapur for the school.
Rotary Club Literacy Chairman Rtn Sanjay Jain, in his speech highlighted about the importance of hand washing and filtered drinking water and said that clean water, better sanitation, teacher training and hygiene education in school can improve the health and education of children by creating a cycle of opportunity – improved education, increased school attendance and improved academic performance.
