KODH Children presenting “We are the world”, during the charity visit of rotary club Kohima, at the orphanage home on January 26.
Kohima | January 27 : Making continuous efforts to its commitment towards the inclusive growth of needy people, the Rotary Club Kohima visited the children of Kohima Orphanage & Destitute Home (KODH) on the celebration of republic day yesterday afternoon. Mission Baptist Church, Rtn. Rev. Dr. Tsiebu Rusta shared a message from the Bible to the children, stating that the word ‘orphan’ may not be likeable word to many people however, “Orphans are the most privilege people if you really know who loves you”, said the speaker. He said that any person, who knows god personally, said God has a treasure for everybody only if looked upon on Him sincerely.
Also adding that God is never partial to anyone, Rutsa encouraged the children that ‘they are special in the sight of the Lord no matter what discrimination comes’ also urged the children to walk with the Lord as they journey into this challenging world. Rev. Rutsa also offered a special prayer for the orphanage home.
Rotaracts, Kenei Chale, Menguseu made their presence visible by presenting a song while PP Rtn. Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, Rtn. Dr. Viketoulie Pienyu and Rtn. Robert Khuvung also presented songs. The KODH children also presented a welcome song “We are the World”.
The programme was chaired by president Rotary club, Rtn. Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu, while Rtn. Kezhokhoto Savi pronounced invocation prayer. Rtn. Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu briefly highlighted the works of rotary club and also displayed video clips made by district 5330. Encouraging the children of KODH, the Rotary club Kohima assured college admission will be initiated to those children desiring for further studies after matriculation. The rotary club is also continuously supporting through dietary and other needs.
