Kohima, August 3 (MExN): The Rotary Club Kohima on Friday installed Pikato V Jimo as its new president. Jimo was installed as the new president during 22nd installation ceremony held on August 2 in Kohima with DLF & Past District Governor Rtn Chandu Agarwal as installation officer.
The ceremony was held at the conference hall of Directorate of Urban Development, Kohima.
Outgoing president Kevilenuo Solo placed on record her gratitude for the team work of Rotary.
In annual report, Secretary Rtn Miriam Rengma informed that Rotary Club Kohima has completed a free Spine Health camp with a specialist from Delhi. It has initiated Fruit Park for children at Cradle Ridge. The Club has already trained 40 educated young women from the underprivileged for free tailoring training. 20 more trainees are undergoing training.
The Club also undertakes livelihood skill projects for underprivileged women in poultry, piggery and farming.
The ceremony also witnessed induction of 5 new members from different professions into this International Club. The ceremony was chaired by PP Rtn Dr Richard Dzuvichu while welcome address was delivered by IPP Rtn Dr. Rosemary Dzuvichu. Vote of thanks was proposed by PE Rtn Kevino Savino.
Earlier, Rupin Sharma, DGP Nagaland inaugurated the renovated washroom at PHQ, Kohima, which was initiated by Rotary Club Kohima.
