Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The Rotary Club of Kohima (RCK) hosted the official visit of District Governor Nilesh Kumar Agarwal on October 15. He was accompanied by his first lady, Lakshmi Agarwal; Assistant Governor Zone XVII, Dr Nitin Agarwal; and members of the Rotary Club of Dimapur. The event commenced with welcome address by RCK President, Kevilenuo Solo and a secretarial report by Miriam Rengma, stated a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Agarwal encouraged all Rotarians to remain dedicated and find joy in their community service efforts and emphasised the significance of the Rotary mission in serving the community. He also toured the free tailoring centre managed by the RCK at Cherryland L Khel, Kohima and distributed certificates to 22 beneficiaries for completing 4 months cutting and tailoring training at centre.
The District Governor also encouraged them not only to acquire new skills but utilise their knowledge to enhance livelihoods. He also urged the RCK to continue its mission of training and empowering more individuals in the future, the release added.
