Dimapur, March 28 (DIPR): The Rotary Rahat Medical Mission (Free Surgical camp) sponsored by Rotary International district 3080, 3240 and supported by Government of Nagaland, CIHSR (Referral Hospital) and Rotary Club of Dimapur was formally inaugurated by Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya as the chief guest and Principal Director, H& FW, Dr. Sukhato Sema as the guest of honour on March 28 at District Hospital Dimapur.
PB Acharya in his address said that it was a big day today that, doctors enriched with knowledge and commitment have come together from different parts of India as part of Rahat Medical Mission to Nagaland. The Governor encouraged the team of visiting doctors to work with an open heart and serve the people without fear. The Governor also expressed his appreciation to Rotary Club for taking the initiative to bring the Medical Mission to Nagaland and wished the Medical Mission a grand success.
Principal Director, H& FW, Nagaland, Dr. Sukhato Sema in his address expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club Dimapur for their continuous support and help extended to the people of Nagaland. He also said that the Department of H&FW would extend all help and co-operation towards Rahat Medical Mission in order to make it a grand success. Dr. Sukhato also thanked Rotary District for their willingness to donate all ICU equipments for two beds, which District Hospital Dimapur does not have.
The Rotary Rahat Medical Mission which will be conducted at Dimapur District Hospital and CIHSR simultaneously from March 28 to April 5. The initial screening and OPD will be conducted at District Hospital Dimapur. Surgeries will be conducted both at Dimapur District Hospital and Referral Hospital Dimapur. The Medical Team shall consist of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and volunteers drawn from various parts of the country.
Renowned doctors of various specialties like Ophthalmology (Eye), Plastic Surgeons, General Surgeons, Genealogy, Ortho, Anesthesia, Dermatology and Urology will be available for consultation and surgery, free of cost.
