Dimapur: Parliamentary secretary for Agriculture, Government of Nagaland Dr. Benjongliba Aier, in the presence of Er Picto Shohe, MLA & Chairman of Nagaland Hotels limited inaugurated an agri link road from Rotomi village to Lotoshokuba on March 4, 2014. Thereafter, Dr. Benjongliba Aier conducted an inspection to a stretch of 18 kms agri link road, stated a press release.
In his speech, Dr. Benjongliba reminded the villagers not to depend only on subsidies provided by the government but to put hard work so that the government can grant additional programs.
Er. Picto, the chief host in his speech requested Dr. Aier to consider some of the programs of his department, which will suit the village soil type and advised the public to be sincere in every sphere of life. A brief profile on agri & allied activities in the area was shared and a Geographical Information System (GIS) map of the constituency was presented to the chief guest.
Departmental officials, Addl Director Mero and Sr. Agriculture Engineer Achakpou mewmai accompanied the Parliamentary Secretary. The Parliament Secretary also has a bird eye view of the village, which has been declared as a Model village by the GoN and a Nirmal Gram Paruskar - National Award winner on clean village. He paid a brief tribute to the stone laid during the 74th session of NBCC annual conference, which was hosted by the village in 2011.
Phuhoto Shohe G/T chaired the program, welcome speech by Hukato, Chairman, Village Council, vote of thanks was pronounced by Hukuto Chophi G/T and invocation prayer by Ghoheyi, Pastor RBC.
