
Kohima, November 3 (MExN): The Royal Club Kohima (RCK) observed its 35th raising day on November 1 at Riileizou, Kohima.
K. Kire, IPS, DGP (Rtd) spoke at the programme as the main speaker.
Addressing the Club members, Kire said that 35 years existence of the Club is laudable and reflects the overall maturity but added that 35 years is the most industrious, agile and active period from the point of human life.
Heralding the Club for having reached this milestone, he exuded confidence that the Club would remain steadfast and committed towards bringing innovation and change to the society.
He recalled that Royal Club have been credited to have started many competitions like Open Wrestling, Volleyball, Catch them Young, Chess, Debates and also organizes the All India Football Federation (AIFF) affiliated Royal Gold Cup for many years despite many odds and financial encumbrance.
He urged the Club members to keep the spirit high and let banner of the Club keep flying high.
On the occasion, the Club while approving the amendment of the constitution also deliberated on the concept and measures to initiate for clean environment and Clean Kohima City.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Abao Kire, president Royal Club Kohima. Viechiihu Liezietsu invoked God’s blessing while vote of thanks was proposed by Kesao Kesiezie, vice president.
Senior club members Thejao Vihienuo, K. Puro, Er. Khupi and Atuolie Mepfuo exhorted the members, according to Kenny Peseyie, General Secretary, Royal Club Kohima.
