RPF arrest six illegal immigrants, rescue 12 minors  

Maligaon, October 8 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway apprehended six Bangladeshi and rescued 12 minors and one lady from different stations in different drives conducted during September 30 to October 6 over NF Railway.

A press released from Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR that on October 4, RPF team of Badarpur conducted a routine check at Bihara Railway station. While checking they detected six Bangladeshi. “On interrogation they could not produce and valid documents and later confessed that they entered India illegally,” the office stated. Later, all six were apprehended and brought to RPF/Post/Badarpur and handed over to Officer In-charge/Government Railway Police/Badarpur for further legal action.

Between, September 30 and October 6, RPF also rescued 12 minors and one lady during different checks at Badarpur, Kumarghat, Dimapur, Katihar and Hasimara stations over NF Railway.
