RPI (A) Nagaland hails NDPP–NPF merger

Dimapur, October 22 (MExN): The Republican Party of India (Athawale), Nagaland State Unit, has welcomed the merger of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) with the Naga People’s Front (NPF).

Terming it a “bold and audacious decision,” the RPI (A) stated that the move would help establish a unified and robust regional political party in the state.

The party also reaffirmed its “unflinching support” to the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio.

With the party, the NDPP–NPF merger was officially approved during the NPF’s General Convention-cum-63rd Foundation Day on October 21 in Kohima.
