RPI (A) launched in Nagaland

Republican Party of India (Athawale) President, Ramdas Athawale, who is also the Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, launched his party in Nagaland State on Tuesday announcing that the Party would contest the next State Legislative Assembly elections.


Speaking at the launching programme of the party at NER Agri Expo site, 4th Mile, Dimapur, Athawale also announced the name of Mughato Aye as the President of RPI (A) Nagaland along with a host of other office bearers. He exuded confidence that the party would do well in the State under the leadership of Mughato.


Meanwhile, the Union Minister informed that he discussed various developmental issues in the State with Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton, on Tuesday morning in Kohima. Athawale said he discussed the issue of Chiethu Airport in Kohima adding that on his return to Delhi he will contact officials in the Prime Minister’s Office to see that the proposal becomes fruitful.


He also spoke about the need for factories and companies to come to Nagaland so that unemployment problem could be resolved to some extent. However, Athawale said Rio should also go to Mumbai and meet the industrialists, adding, “I will definitely try to see that big companies and factories come to Nagaland.”


Stating that many schemes were available in his ministry, Athawale assured of assisting Nagaland State in availing the benefits of various schemes.


The RPI (A) National President said that the party had accepted the philosophy of Dr. BR Ambedkar who is called the Father of Indian Constitution. Athawale said his party supports the cause of the poor, tribals, dalits, minorities and other backward communities.


RPI (A) Nagaland President, Mughato Aye, delivered the welcome address and appealed the people for support and cooperation towards the party.


The launching programme was also attended by RPI (A) North East Observer and West Bengal in-charge, Vinod, a host of party workers and dignitaries.
