RPOK holds general conference, inducts new office bearers

JOTSOMA, JUNE 1 (MExN): The Rengma Public Organisation Kohima (RPOK) held its General Conference at the RCEMPA Hall in Jotsoma on May 29.

Kenilo Apon, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary of DUDA and Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, graced the event as the Conference Guest. The program was chaired by Er. Kolevi Kent, Vice President of RPOK. The gathering began with an invocation by Lechito Tep, Associate Pastor General of RBCK, followed by a presidential address from K. Gwanilo Himb, President of RPOK. Reports were presented by Khiwamo Kath and KK Rengma, who delivered the audit and secretary reports, respectively.

The event also featured a special presentation by Ronnye Kent and friends, while the Tesophenyu Cultural Group, Kohima, performed a traditional folk song.

A vote of thanks was delivered by Kegwanyo Tep, Vice President of RPOK. Later in the program, Pollem Tep, Convener of the Search Committee, presented the new office bearers for the 2025–2028 tenure. Peter Seb was announced as the new President, and KK Rengma as the General Secretary, along with seven other members and three advisors.
